简介 :
俗名錢鰻、薯鰻、虎鰻。棲息於礁區、近海沿岸，深度8-40公尺，無毒性，可食用，無觀賞價值，是經濟性魚類，分布於印度至太平洋，產於臺灣南部、南沙，最大體長47 cm，模式種產於大溪地。
形態特徵 :
體延長而呈圓柱狀，尾部側扁。122-126。體色淡棕，體側有深棕色點；在尾部各點相連，且顏色變暗，甚至在鰭也形成明顯規則的梳狀黑橫帶；
棲所生態 :
主要棲息於珊瑚礁淺海域或潮
地理分布 :
分布於印度-太平洋區，西起東非，東至馬貴斯及社會群島，北至臺灣等海域。臺灣南部之岩礁區可見。
瀕危狀態 : 不在IUCN瀕危名單中
